All of our chocolate starts with Thai-grown cacao—sourced exclusively from local farms using native strains. By working only with Thai cacao, we’re not just supporting local communities, we’re also celebrating the unique character of this origin. These local strains offer surprising depth, from bright fruity notes to rich, earthy undertones—flavors you won’t find anywhere else. Chumphon 1 – Thailand’s Golden Treasure
Born from a Trinidadian mix and quickly adopted by Thai farmers, Chumphon 1 quickly stole the spotlight with its bright yellow pods and impressive yields. Thanks to local researchers who saw its potential, it’s now the heart and soul of Thailand’s cacao scene—reliable, vibrant, and full of character.
I.M.1 – A Thai-Bred Original
The I.M.1 cocoa strain is a uniquely Thai hybrid, developed over 30 years by Dr. Sanh La-ongsri. It blends genetics from Criollo, Forastero (Amelonado), and ICS varieties—resulting in large, aromatic beans with high cocoa butter content and excellent yield.
Thanks to its diverse genetic background, I.M.1 offers a rich and complex flavor profile—ranging from soft floral and nutty notes to deeper, fruity and earthy tones. It’s a true expression of Thai innovation, terroir, and tradition—crafted by nature, refined by time.
